DII Championship Match

We are down to the final two teams in the NCAA DII Women’s National Volleyball Championship and one of them will become the champion tonight. The finals begin at 6:00 PM ET (adjust to your time zone appropriately) in the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota,

Here’s the eight Region champions who competed in the final eight DII tournament.

1.  Atlantic Region Champion – Wheeling Jesuit University Cardinals
2. Central Region Champion – Concordia University – St. Paul Golden Bears
3. East Region Champion – American International College Yellow Jackets
4. Midwest Region Champion – Lewis Flyers
5. South Region Champion – Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish
6. South East Region Champion – University of South Carolina – Aiken Pacers
7. South Central Region Champion – Angelo State University Rams
8. West Region Champion – University of Alaska – Anchorage Seawolves

Quarterfinal recap
No. 6 Alaska-Anchorage defeated No. 3 Angelo State 3 – 1 (14-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-16). 
No. 2 Palm Beach Atlantic defeated No. 7 South Carolina-Aiken 3 – 0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-20).
No. 5 Lewis defeated No. 4 Wheeling Jesuit 3 – 0 (25-17, 26-24, 30-28).
No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul defeated No. 8 American International 3 – 0 (25-6, 25-16, 25-13).

Semifinal recap
No. 6 Alaska-Anchorage defeated No. 2 Palm Beach Atlantic 3 – 1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 25-22).

No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul defeated No. 5 Lewis 3 – 0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-18).

Concordia – St. Paul is coached by Brady Starkey who is in his 14^th season at Concordia.

Alaska – Anchorage is coached by Chris Green who is in his 9^th season at Alaska – Anchorage.
