CK Podcast 279: John Karalis of Locked On Celtics joins the show

Leo Beas and John Karalis break down the Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics at the Golden One Center Wednesday night. They discuss if the Celtics plan on extending Isaiah Thomas long-term and why the Kings should rebuild now sooner rather than later. We also discuss the trade the Celtics and Kings made over the weekend in BBALLBREAKDOWN’s preview of the NBA’s trade deadline.

Game Preview: Kings vs. Celtics

The Sacramento Kings will be without DeMarcus Cousins as they take on the Boston Celtics tomorrow night in Sacramento. Cousins will serve a suspension due to exceeding the leagues technical count (16).

In a postgame interview, guard Ty Lawson said that the team will be focusing on Isaiah Thomas and try to slow him down. This will be the Kings’ only shot in terms of having a shot a defeating the Celtics.

The Kings will rely more on Malachi Richardson and other key reserves off the bench. It’s extremely difficult to replace Cousins, but for one game, it is possible since these guys are professional athletes.

Richardson has been begging for minutes off the bench and hopefully Joerger gives it to him. He scored seven points in limited action last game against the Bulls.

This game could also reveal the true identity of the Kings. Life without Boogie is a rumor that has been flying around the NBA world for a minute. And with people saying that Boogie needs help, we can finally see what this team is made up as they take on the Celtics without Boogie.

Tipoff is tomorrow at 7:30 PM.
