Ryan Spooner Thinks That Claude Julien Did Not Like Him As A Player

Marcum

Spooner has had very limited playing time in his NHL career after being Drafted in 2010. He played in just 56 of a possible 212 games from 2013-15. But it seems that trend has changed due to a coaching change and the starting of the Bruce Cassidy era. The Bruins are currently 6-1 with Cassidy as Head Coach and Spooner has 10 goals and 23 assists on the year. With two of these goals and four assists in the past seven games.

Spooner never referred to Julien by name but did say “It felt like the last coach, he just didn’t really trust me.”

“It felt like the last coach, he just didn’t really trust me,” Spooner said  “It might have been kind of on me, just not playing to the potential that I have. At the same time, too, though, I just don’t really think that he liked me as a player.”
