The PGA Tour Champions is the tour established for players age 50 and older still seeking competitive golf matches. There is not a large fall off in the level of competition from the PGA Tour. Many previous PGA winners are part of the Champions field this years. Names include: Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, and John Daly.

The most successful golfer of the year has been Bernhard Langer. Langer just completed his third win of the year at Trump National Golf Club in the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. He got out to an early lead, and only trailed by one stroke to Vijay Singh after the third round. Langer’s -4 on Sunday secured him the win over the 54 year old Singh who has also played well as of late.

This win adds $540,000 to Langer’s season winnings. He stands atop all Tour Champions winners this year with earnings totaling $1,664,651.

This is Langer’s second consecutive win, and third of the season. He will look to continue his success next weekend at the Principal Charity Classic (Jun 9-Jun 11) where he will attempt to dethrone defending champ Scott McCarron.
