It was a big bounce back game for the Revolution who have recently gone 1-4 in their last 5 MLS matches. Tonight they would break that losing streak by beating the LA Galaxy in a high scoring affair 4-to-3 in front of 27,441 at Gillette Stadium.

The Revolution would have some extra help in this one as coming off the disabled list was Xavier Kouassi who made his first appearance since May 31st when he got hurt in a 2-2 draw vs. New York City FC. Kouassi played 6 minutes in tonights win.

The Revolution got the scoring going early in this one as Lee Nguyen scored his 7th goal of the season in the 16th minute. But the Galaxy would answer relatively quickly as a Daniel Steres got his first of two goals on the night just 6 minutes later.

The Revolution would take the 3-2 lead to the locker room, and the Revs would come out of the room on fire and the most entertaining part of this game would happen between the minutes of 70 and 80 as we saw 3 goals.

We saw Revs Midfielder/Forward Teal Bunbury put on a show scoring two goals in a matter of three minutes to put the Revs on top 4-2. The Galaxy would try to come back in the game with a goal by Ariel Lassiter in the 79th minute but it would not be enough.

With this win, the Revolution advance to 6-5-9 and are now tied with Philadelphia for 9th in the East.

With this loss, the Galaxy fall to 6-4-10 and will stay put at 9th in the West.

The Revolution will now prepare to take on Philadelphia in a very important game next Saturday, July 29th at Gillette Stadium. Will home field continue to be the Revs best friend?
