Patriots Training Camp Day 11: Rob Gronkowski’s Best Day of Camp yet

The intensity continued to pick up on the practice fields at Gillette Stadium as we are now just a walkthrough away from the Patriots first pre-season game on Thursday night. Today was a big day for all Patriots starters as Gronk had his best day of camp yet catching a total of seven passes, including six touchdowns. Brady and Cooks also continue to dominate the Jaguars defense like they did yesterday.

Mike Gillislee, Nate Solder, Vincent Valentine, James O’Shaughnessy, Cody Hollister, David Jones were all present but did not participate in practice. Well, Matthew Slater, Eric Rowe, Trevor Bates, Shea McClellin, and Tony Garcia were all absent.

In 11-on-11’s Brady went 14-of-21, Garoppolo went 3-of-3, and Brissett went 4-of-7 with an interception. In 7-on-7’s Brady went 6-of-7 and Garoppolo went 6-of-7.

The Jaguars continue to not look very good at all Bortles has really been struggling to keep up with the pace, Bortles today only 5-17 but to his credit, he did not throw an interception. Bortles has not had good joint practices at all.

On a different note, we got the opportunity to see Bill Belichick do some push-ups with the third string offense after they got stuffed on the goal line by Jacksonville defense.

Belichick and the third-string offense just dropped for push-ups after failing to score at the goal line. Belichick had great form on the push-ups and is still in peak condition.

Tom Brady’s parents were both in attendance today as well. It was good to see Brady’s mom Galynn out and about on the field after practice hugging Willie McGinest and talking to Bill Belichick and Linda Holliday.

Tomorrow’s pre-game walkthrough is closed to the public as it will be the last time both teams are on the same field before Thursday game.
