Top Prospect Abramov to play in Europe?

Upon waking up this morning, I received a message from a QMJHL reporter I follow who sent me an article reporting that Blue Jackets top prospect Vitaly Abramov may not be returning to his junior team the Gatineau Olympique next season.
The article states Abramov could return to Gatineau but his family may push the 19-year-old to Europe where he has a contract offer. There is also mention of the KHL but going off the translation, it’s not clear if it is his home league that is making the offer.
An Abramov move would definitely throw a wrench into Gatineau’s plans. The team was likely planning for most of the Olympiques’ offense to come from the diminutive Russian. It bears mention that Gatineau may have tried to trade Vitaly even as trading import players is difficult.
Abramov, who led the QMJHL in scoring last season and was named league MVP, is in Columbus now getting ready for the season.
