Teammates refuting Broussard’s report that Isaiah isn’t well liked

Washington Wizards v Boston Celtics - Game Seven

The Undisputed’s Chris Broussard says 4 NBA executives told him that “a lot of players in Boston weren’t that fond of Isaiah Thomas.”

Broussard is taking a lot of heat because this report is coming out of left field. In IT’s 2+ years in Boston, there hasn’t been a sniff of a rift.

Maybe there were one or two guys who didn’t mesh with Isaiah. You can’t expect 15 guys to be besties. Regardless, many teammates are coming forward in Isaiah’s defense:

Al Horford (via Instagram):

Much respect for these guys. They recruited me to come play to Boston and I’m a witness of how hard they played and competed not only for the team, but everything That being a Celtic embodies. Wish you guys the best on your new journey.

I should note the slandering of a player on his way out is nothing new in Boston. The Red Sox do it all the time and we heard a bunch of stuff about Rondo following his exit. What differentiates Broussard’s report is that his sources are external.
