Eagles Weekly Recap: Week 5, Darby return, Rankings jump, and more

New York Giants v Philadelphia Eagles

Welcome to another edition of the Eagles Weekly Recap. Fresh off yet another win, the Eagles are looking to make it three-straight as they head into another week of action. Let’s get into it:

  • This afternoon, the Eagles will host Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals. While Arizona may have a shaky offense as of late, their defense will prove to be a true test for Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

  • On the injury front, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (calf) will miss his second straight game today. Running back Wendell Smallwood (knee) is currently listed as questionable/game-time decision after missing practice time this week.

  • Some positive news on the injury front: cornerback Ronald Darby is said to be on schedule, and the team is hoping that he will be ready to return by Week 7.

  • After their win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Eagles have jumped to No. 8 in this week’s ESPN Power Rankings.

That’s it for this week. Stay tuned with Total Sports Live for the latest involving the Philadelphia Eagles.
