Erik Jones Dominates At Texas

It was a Saturday night affair for the Xfinty drivers as they were back to Texas for 300 miles of action.

Erik Jones started off the race leading laps. Cole Custer and his car was getting so bad he had to pit around lap ten.  While on Pit road we had the first caution of the day Ty Dillion spins out.  The leaders stay out.  As the green flag racing continued Erik Jones was back leading more and more laps and took the first stage.

The second stage started off with a short green flag run and at lap 56 it was caution time as Angela Ruch spins out.  The race restarts and in the back and Brandon Jones spins out and wrecks out of the race.  We finally get some good green flag racing time with Erik Jones leading some more laps and with 8 laps left in the second stage as Christopher Bell spins out for the caution.  We get a short green flag run and Erik Jones takes the second stage.  Cars that did not pit under the last caution do.

As the third stage started off Christopher Bell was leading laps.  Then Ryan Blaney was able to get the race lead.  The next caution finally comes out at lap 125 for Dylan Lupton that spins out.  We get a long green flag run this time with Erik Jones leading lap after lap after lap. When it got down to the final laps Ryan Blaney was closing in on the race lead, but ran out of time as Erik Jones won the race.

“Just excited to get back to victory lane,” said Erik Jones.

“I really wanted to win,” said Ryan Balney.
