LA Kings Unveil Statue and Banner in Honor of Bob Miller

“Bob Miller Celebration Day” (January 13th) started with the unveiling of a statue honoring LA Kings’ broadcasting legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Bob Miller in Star Plaza outside of STAPLES Center and ended with the raising of a permanent banner inside of STAPLES Center.

Miller became the first non-player that the Kings will honor with a permanent banner inside STAPLES Center as he joins Luc Robitaille, Wayne Gretzky, Rob Blake, Dave Taylor, Marcel Dionne and Rogie Vachon.

Miller’s statue is the third Kings’ statue in STAPLES Center’s Star Plaza joining fellow Hockey Hall of Famers Robitaille and Gretzky, and will become the only statue of a hockey broadcaster at a current NHL arena.
