Big Backstage Update On Alexa Bliss And Becky Lynch’s WWE In-Ring Returns

Two of WWE’s top talents, Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch, are both sidelined with injuries which have kept the representatives of both Raw and Smackdown Live out of action for well over a month.

In the case of Alexa Bliss, she suffered a concussion prior to the WWE Evolution PPV, which forced her off the historic event in an in-ring capacity and relegated her to non-physical role on the show.

In the case of Becky Lynch, she took a stiff shot from Nia Jax prior to WWE Survivor Series which resulted in a broken nose and what WWE called a “broken face”, forcing her match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series to feature Charlotte Flair instead of Lynch.

Earlier this week, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry claimed on Busted Open Radio that Bliss has been medically cleared to return to action in WWE.

“She came back too soon and was in a bad place, but she’s fine and has been cleared,” claimed Henry on the show.

However, according to a new report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Henry’s comments appear to be premature and Alexa Bliss has not yet received medical clearance to return to the ring. The report adds Bliss has been cleared for light physicality, which is why she has been training in the ring at the WWE Performance Center, but as of now she has not been cleared to return to active competition on Raw.

With regards to Becky Lynch, she appears to find herself in a similar situation to that of Braun Strowman. While WWE did announce that Lynch has been cleared to return, and is advertising a Triple Threat match featuring Lynch vs Asuka vs Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Title at WWE TLC, The Observer reports Lynch has not been entirely cleared to return.

According to the report, Lynch has been cleared from the concussion she suffered at the hands of Nia Jax, however, she has yet to be cleared from the broken nose. WWE officials remain hopeful she will be cleared in time for TLC, which is why they went forward with announcing the PPV Title match.
