The Dolphins pulled off one of the most improbable wins in NFL history on Sunday, with Kenyan Drake taking a lateral to the house for a 69-yard touchdown to beat the Patriots.
Drake essentially saved the Dolphins’ season as well, given that a loss would’ve pretty much eliminated Miami from postseason contention. And with them having the ball, trailing by six points, and only 16 seconds on the clock, the game appeared to be all but over.
But Drake had other plans.
The Dolphins shifty running back showed how elusive he is by changing direction multiple times, after receiving a lateral near midfield. He took off down the sideline, and somehow bolted his way into the end zone — just out of the reach of Rob Gronkowski, who for some reason, was in at free safety.
Drake was mobbed by his teammates in the locker room after the dramatic win.
What a finish.
