How big a role do sports play in education?

We all know that education isn’t just sitting in classes and appearing for examinations. We know grades do not define how educated we are, even if your teachers judge you only on how much you scored. Talent is more than just writing projects and exams, much more.

“Nobody asks Lebron James what grades he got in high school or quizzed Muhammad Ali on quantum physics; even though Muhammad Ali could barely read his textbooks and was a dyslexic, he is still known as one of the most hard-working and determined athlete to have ever been; that is in addition to labeled as being the greatest boxer of all time” opines Alisha from CDR-Report. Sports teach us more values than we can get by going through books and journals.

Eric from OnlineAssignmentWriting says, “Sports helps the younger generation inculcate values of hard work, leadership, and perseverance; those values are intrinsic to a person and cannot be taught”.

Let us say it is the 70th minute of a 90 minute match of soccer, one team is trailing behind by a goal; the coach still shouts at the team and tells them to keep pushing themselves even if they are tired. Little by little, they gain momentum and overcome the deficit to win the match; each one of the player realizes the importance of teamwork and to give everything for the team. That is a lesson that cannot be taught through books but only through sports in schools, this value is not only important in sports but in corporate and life as well.

“Leadership is another value that sports imparts in its education. Right from kindergarten to the highest level of offices, leadership is as valued as any trait in a person” – says Monica, marketing manager, from BestOnlineAssignmentHelp. This skill is most valued in offices of responsibility and people with this level of skill are chosen to lead and trust. Leadership is different from management, and it truly means to lead by example.

The famous soccer manager, Jose Mourinho, says something about one of his teams that won the biggest club trophy in Europe and the national league of their country, “In my team, each one was a leader”, it means that each player took it upon himself to lead by example and by their determination to win. When someone does not want to stand apart from their team but wants to pull each one up to give their best, that is when you know that someone has leadership skills. That skill is very well imparted in sports, or at least tried to be imparted.

Taking care of one’s health is as important a task as any, especially now when the percentage of people having cholesterol checks younger increased to 65%.

When we undertake exercises, it releases transmitters which are good for health called ‘Endorphins’. It brings about a sense of elevation and helps one lower their stress and be euphoric. Websites like TFTH provide help with education and guide students to take a try at any field of sports. It is our responsibility to leave the world the better place, for that we need to inculcate values in our children and open them to the avenue of sports to impart a set of skills and values we cannot do with the use of books and examinations.
