The Islanders will be playing their games in Long Island once again at some point in the future, with the team recently announcing plans to build a new $1 billion arena in Belmont Park, but for now, the team is stuck playing at the Barclays Center.

Fans have complained about the team playing its games in Brooklyn, but they’ll have to stick it out for a few more years. Making matters worse, those who attended Wednesday’s game against the Golden Knights were stuck sitting through a delay in the dark, as the power went out unexpectedly right before the third period was set to begin.

The delay lasted roughly 13 minutes, and Islanders defenseman Thomas Hickey shared his thoughts on it after his team lost, 3-2, calling it “amateur hour.”
