Hornets guard Malik Monk may have somehow played himself right back into team owner Michael Jordan’s doghouse — again.

Monk ran onto the court and began celebrating prematurely at the end of the team’s game against the Pistons a few weeks ago, resulting in a technical foul, and Detroit nearly squeaking out a victory as a result. Jordan let him know how he felt about it by smacking Monk on his head (watch here).

As for Wednesday night’s game, well, he had a chance to lift the Hornets to victory in double-overtime, with the game against the Nets tied at 132. Monk had the ball in his hands, tried to do too much with it, and just straight up lost the ball. Joe Harris picked up the ball, went the distance and finished off the turnover with a game-winning layup, which is about as easy as it gets.

Not a good month for the young guy.
