Frances Tiafoe appears to be one of tennis’ rising stars, as he showed the world in the second round of the Australian Open, when he upset fifth-seeded Kevin Anderson on Monday.

The 20-year-old Tiafoe showed a ton of resolve for a young American in Australia, losing the first set, but going on to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5. Winning three consecutive sets against Anderson, who has a massive serve, and has beaten the likes of Roger Federer recently, is no easy task.

And he celebrated appropriately as well. Tiafoe flexed his bicep as a tribute to LeBron James after the match was over.

He later confirmed it was indeed a tribute during a post-match interview with ESPN.

“I’m a massive LeBron [James] fan, and I always see him do it. I was like ‘If I ever have a moment where I can do it, I’m going to do it, too.’ So I had to bring it out,” Tiafoe explained.

We’ll see if he can continue his magical run, with more celebrations possibly to come.
