Spring Training preview for Philadelphia Phillies tickets

Ryne Sandberg begins his second season managing the Philadelphia Phillies with little hopes of success heading into the season. After a disappointing 2013, the Phillies tried to “reload” rather than “rebuild” and misfired. After finishing the season with a 73-89 record, the team traded long time shortstop Jimmy Rollins, which made it clear that the Phillies are in a rebuilding process.

Cole Hamels and Chase Utley provide the veteran leadership during rocky waters for the Phillies. Hamels had another strong season, finishing sixth in the NL Cy Young voting with a 2.46 ERA while throwing over 200 innings. Utley was voted to his sixth All-Star team after not being named to the team for three straight seasons.

The Phillies are hoping some of their young talent turns it around in 2015 and can remaining competitive through the All-Star break. Dominic Brown, Kyle Kendrick and a few others will have to play better than the back of their baseball card to be in the Wildcard hunt.

The process begins at Bright House Field in Clearwater, FL where the Phillies host their Spring Training games. According to TiqIQ.com, the lowest average ticket price is $15 for when the Phillies face the University of Tampa Spartans. The lowest average ticket price against an MLB team is on April 2nd, when they the Tampa Bay Rays. The average ticket price is $31 and the walk-in price is $12.

The highest average ticket price is when the New York Yankees come to town, with an average ticket price of $67.36 with a walk-in price of $35. The game with the highest average ticket price at any stadium is when the Phillies take on the Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park on March 22nd. The average ticket price is $125.85.

Do the Phillies have enough talent to compete in the NL East and possibly steal a Wildcard spot? Sandberg would be on his way to a favorable start as the Phillies skipper if he work some magic into the 2015 season.
