As the new leadership gets settled in at the office at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies are beginning to make moves to shape the future of the franchise. Today that included the beginning of the end of the Domonic Brown era in Phillies pinstripes.

There is still a possibility Brown can return to the Phillies in 2016, but it looks like this new front office is already busy trying to clean up the mess inherited after years of Ruben Amaro Jr. as general manager. Every little bit helps, and it seems likely we have seen everything Brown will amount to be as a Phillies outfielder. Despite the expectations placed upon him coming up through the farm system, Brown never truly panned out aside from one hot month. That’s not good enough, not when the GM in place made moves specifically avoiding moving Brown for years.
