Malkin out with an upper body injury

You know, it looks like Evgeni Malkin injured his hand after getting hit by Dalton Prout of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Almost every outlet has been saying that Malkin will be out for 6-8 weeks with an upper body injury. IF it is indeed his hand that is injured, well, what happens if he has his hands below his waist? Is that a lower body injury? Makes you wonder.

It also makes you wonder how the Penguins will adapt to the loss of Malkin. The Penguins aren’t in the same situation they were even five years ago. The auxiliary talent isn’t nearly the same  as it was in years past, and while someone like Malkin is always important, this particular version of the team can ill afford the loss of a productive player like Malkin.

SCOREBOARD
Pittsburgh 3, Columbus 2 – Pittsburgh without Malkin is still enough to beat the Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh without Penguins is probably good enough, to be honest.

Philadelphia 3, Tampa Bay 1 – The entire city of Pittsburgh would be apoplectic if it was the Flyers that knocked them out of the playoffs.

St. Louis 5 Anaheim 2 – The Blues are one of the best teams in the county. People just say the Ducks are.

Dallas 5, Chicago 2 – Like, legitimately, this exact same score against a playoff team is way mor impressive for Dallas than St. Louis’ win.

Arizona 4, Calgary 1 – Won’t it be funny when the Coyotes just move to Tempe?
