Taylor Goes Undrafted: Has NBA Offer

hunwickjoegill

Unfortunately, former Badger’s point guard Jordan Taylor did not hear his named called on Thursday night’s NBA Draft. Taylor had big interest from San Antonio and Los Angeles at picks 59 and 60 respectivley (the final two picks in the draft).

The good news for Taylor is that he now has a chance to play on an NBA squad in the Vegas Summer League. The Summer League gives teams a chance to give their prospects and potential signees some time on the court. The teams often invite many undrafted free agents to check out. If they like what they see, they may bring the player in and sign him to the team.

According to Patrick Herb of UWBadgers.com:

Instead of being drafted and having to play for a specific team, Jordan will have some options. This alows him to find the best fit team for him, where he’ll have a shot at making the roster.

Taylor has had interest from a few teams, including the hometown Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks were apparently very high on Taylor after they worked him out, so they’re probably one of the top bidders. Madtown Badgers will keep you updated on Taylor’s journey to the NBA.
