The Brain Trust: Northern Iowa Predictions

It's that time of the year again, it's time for us to make fools out of you or ourselves (most likely both) but each week we'll be giving you our thoughts and predictions on the game at hand. Up first is Northern Iowa, so let's see how the staff sees it all coming together tomorrow at Camp Randall.

Andy Coppens: Wisconsin 55 UNI 13

Wisconsin is loaded with talent all over the place and UNI isn't very experienced on defense or at QB which could mean a field day for RUN BWG & the likes of David Gilbert & the secondary. It could get ugly in a hurry.

Cole Brown: Wisconsin 66, Northern Iowa 10

UNI seems fired up for the opportunity to take down Goliath, but in the end, they'll have little to no chance against the Camp Randall crowd. I expect the Badgers to pound them with the running game early and often. I see the UNI defense having no chance against Wisconsin's offense line. I expect the Badgers secondary to have a big day, and On Wisconsin will roll.

Arman Belding: UW 57, Northern Iowa 13

UNI scores one field goal in the first half, whilst being dominated by UW's running game and first team offense as a whole. Montee Ball scores 3 touchdowns before being benched. Behind him, James White and Melvin Gordon each score once. Somehow on two drives, UW isn't able to get into the endzone, and Kyle French is called in – he scores 2 field goals.

By sometime in the second half, UW starters are pulled, and UNI is able to score a touchdown and additional field goal before the end of the game. Even so, Wisconsin rolls.

Nate Woelfel: Wisconsin 56 Northern Iowa 13

There has been a good deal of talk about the Panthers welcoming the challenge of playing quality opponents on the road. While I respect them and their mindset heading to Camp Randall, they simply lack the firepower to deal with the Badgers for 60 minutes and starting a redshirt freshman quarterback isn't going to cut it. UNI may hang around for a possession or two, but this one is going to get out of hand.

Alright, there you have it… A clean sweep of predictions for the Cardinal and White. We'll be keeping score during each "Brain Trust" from here on out.
