Baby Badgers: 2013 Class Grows with TE Addition

Wisconsin's 2013 class continues to grow in numbers as early on Wednesday tight end prospect Troy Fumagalli committed to Wisconsin. He had taken an unofficial visit to the Badgers for their season opener against Northern Iowa and received an offer from the Badgers shortly after.

Fumagalli is an Aurora, IL native who attends Waubonsie Valley High School and his lead recruiter was co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash.

He is a big target, standing at 6'5" and weighing in at 225lbs. already.

Wisconsin was Fumagalli's only know BCS level offer and his offer list included the likes of Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, several other MAC schools and some Midwest based FCS programs as well.

As far as rankings go he has been unranked by 247sports, Rivals, and was ranked a 2 star prospect by FoxSportsNEXT (new name for scout) as well as the 78th best tight end in the country according to their rankings.

The only question seems to be where Wisconsin will find room for all of these commits. Just doing the math, Wisconsin is already over their scholarship limit heading into next season so that should be an interesting development to keep your eyes on as well.

This commitment was first reported by Evan Flood of Badger247 this morning and quickly confirmed by other outlets as well.
