An offensive outburst helped the UW women's hockey team defeat New Hampshire 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at La Bahn Arena.
With the win the Badgers, the recorded their first ever sweep in the new building.
Brianna Decker scored her ninth goal of the season on a power play midway through the first period to give the Badgers a 1-0 edge that would carry into the second period.
Courtney Burke lit the lamp at the 7:50 mark of the second to move the Wisconsin lead to two.
Minutes later, Madison Packer scored to make it 3-0.
Decker netted her second of the game in the opening minutes of the third period.
Karley Sylvester put the icing on the cake with a goal of her own minutes later.
Alex Rigsby made 21 saves to record the shutout. Tha Badgers limited the Wildcats to just two shots in the final period.
Decker and Burke each finished the game with three points.
The Badgers move to 5-3-2 overall. They will continue their homestand next weekend when they entertain Minnesota State-Mankato at La Bahn Arena on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
