Just a few days after two commitments were added to the Wisconsin 2013 football class the Badgers received a major commitment from another Safety, this time from Tyler Foreman out of Encino, California. We had a chance to sit down with the latest Badgers commitment earlier today and it's clear that Wisconsin was a place he couldn't resist coming to after visiting the campus and program earlier this season.
When asked about what attracted him to Wisconsin Foreman made it clear it was about people and the place more than anything else.
"(Just) how generous the people were , the coaching staff is a great group of guys and I really just fell In love with the place," said Foreman.
Foreman is a 6'2" 195lbs. bruiser of a safety who likes to hit as well as ball hawk.
"I would say T.J. McDonald from USC , because he's a big safety like me that can cover but also come down hill and destroy you," said Foreman when asked to compare himself to to a current player.
It's not a bad comparison to make as you'll see below, but also because currently McDonald leads the Trojans defense in tackles with 89, has 6 tackles for loss, and has 2 interceptions. If Wisconsin can get that production out of Foreman in the future they'll have a heck of a player on their hands.
Foreman announced his commitment via Facebook, noting that he will the first member of his family to attend college as well. But, what put him over the edge to announce his choice to become a Badger over schools like Oklahoma and Utah?
"That I fell in love with the place , and Wisconsin is a place I could call home," said Foreman.
Linebackers coach Andy Buh was his main recruiter in the process, but coach Bielema has taken a big interest in this now verbally committed recruit. It's something Foreman highlighted when we spoke with him.
"Me and coach Bielema have a pretty good relationship , he basically laid out a foundation when I was out there," Foreman stated. "He drew a road map of how far I've come and if I graduate from Wisconsin it would set me up for how far I could go."
So, let's take a look at what the recruiting services have to say about the latest commitment to the Badgers class, shall we?
