Earlier today new Badgers head coach Gary Andersen confirmed that he will be keeping Ben Strickland on staff and now it's being reported by Adam Mertz of the Wisconsin State Journal that running backs coach Thomas Hammock will be retained as well.
However, his role hasn't been able to be confirmed. Hammock not only coached running backs but was the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator for the Badgers last season. It is expected that he will at the least be the running backs coach once again, but could even be in line for the open offensive coordinator's role.
According to the Mertz story, they first learned of Hammock being retained by James White, one of his current running backs. Coach Andersen confirmed in an interview on The Big 1070 that he was looking to retain all of the current staff members but that announcements wouldn't likely be made official for a few days as he figures out the staff.
That leaves current offensive line coach Bart Miller as the only member of the staff who's status is currently unknown.
