Andersen adds OLB Leon Jacobs to Badgers 2013 class

Just two days after adding his 1st commitment as the head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers, head coach Gary Andersen has reportedly added his 2nd commitment to the class and it's another defensive player, but from the completely opposite side of the nation (Mass. to Cal.) – showing once again Andersen's commitment to going where the right players are and not limiting himself to just one set of areas to recruit.

According to reports Jacobs held offers from Air Force, San Diego State, and Fresno State before being offered by the Badgers at his official visit to Wisconsin today.

Jacobs is a 6'4", 200lbs. outside linebacker from Santa Clarita, CA (Golden Valley HS) and is rated as a 2 star by 247sports, Scout, and is not rated by Rivals.

It's safe to say this guy has a story that fits both Andersen and Wisconsin's ability to find "diamonds-in-the-rough" in recruiting circles as Jacobs only started playing football in his junior year of high school. There is a great article about him and his family story that you really should check out.

Jacobs is a big time athlete overall that may end up being a project at Wisconsin, but with the current depth at the position it's another stash and watch player to add to the class to say the least.
