We continue to creep another day closer to the kick-off of Wisconsin football and for us here at MadTownBadgers that means ever increasing anxiousness for the season to get underway. After all, we are now just 95 days away from the start of the Gary Andersen era.
So, that means today it's officially Arthur Goldberg to Badger football day!! Rejoice and be happy… o.k., or maybe get excited after having to get back to the office or whatever it is you 9 to 5er's do, lol…. But seriously, we'll be talking about our countdown and much more tonight on Badgers Power Hour, which we'll be carrying live via YouTube right here on MTB starting at 8:30pm Central Time!! (Video & link will be provided here on MTB closer to time of show)
Enough of all of that, let's get down to celebrating the man who occupies jersey number 95 – one Arthur Goldberg, shall we?
Story So Far:
– Not much at UW as he is entering is redshirt freshman season
– Goldberg was an all-state selection in Pennsylvania his senior season in 2011
– Finished high school with 162 tackles, 7 sacks, and 12 tackles for loss
History of No. 95 at Wisconsin:
– Tim Jordan (LB, 1983-86): He still holds the all-time record for most sacks in a game (6) and is 4th on the all-time sack list (27). He was a fourth round draft pick of the New England Patriots and played three seasons in the NFL. Jordan is also a Madison native, attending LaFollete high school.
– Joe Monty (DE, 2004-07): While his brother Pete may be the more familiar name Joe was a good player in his own right. He had 82 career tackles and 5.5 career sacks in his four years at UW. Injuries hampered him a bit down the stretch but he was more than a solid player during his time at UW.
