Ever dream of stepping on to the field at Camp Randall or have your wedding photos taken at the spot you met that special someone while jumping around? Well, the long wait is over, as Wisconsin's most prized athletic facilities are now open for you, the general public, to take those life long memory making photos….. All for the meer price of $250.
Wisconsin's famed Camp Randall and the Kohl Center will be amongst the venues available to the general public. The $250 dollar price tag gets you a half-hour of time to take the pictures and the fee mainly is about making sure staff that needs to be on hand is paid for.
Before this policy change these venues were only open to dues paying members of the National W Club and to UW athletic department staff and immediate family members.
This is a smart move to say the least for a program looking to find new ways to stay connected to their fans.
Oh, and if you're thinking the $250 dollar fee is a lot, you should try Michigan ($500) or Minnes…. errr…. Eastern Dakota ($350) for the same amount of time.
Of course there are rules to be followed while using the facilities and most are for good reasons. Among the guidelines that must be followed are these: No food or beverages outside of bottled water; limited areas where photos can be taken; no high heels; and no use of trademarked logos in the photos.
So, if you're a diehard Badger fan and you want a unique memory of stepping on to the Camp Randall turf, it can all be yours for the taking now.
