Ahh, sneaky Wisconsin football staff. No crazy Twitter announcement series, no fanfair on the website, just a simple roster update. But, somewhere between Sunday morning and Monday morning the Wisconsin Badgers roster was updated with full numbers for all their incoming freshman.
Now, obviously some numbers will change as the NCAA doesn't allow for duplicate numbers on gameday anymore and some players will end up redshirting, but for now we have the "Baby Badgers" getting their numbers for the first time and that's a cool moment for anyone.
Some of the interesting numbers include Sojourn Shelton getting No. 2, the number of former Badger great Jamar Fletcher, highly touted running back Corey Clement getting 6, while the in-state defensive line duo of Alec James (also No. 6) and Chikwe Obasih (No. 34) also got interesting numbers. Finally, the long rumored move to defensive back for Jeff Lewis is listed on the updated roster as well – so there you have it.
