History of No. 43 at Wisconsin:

Aaron Stecker (RB, 1995-96): This should tell you all need to know about the history of this number, as Stecker pulled on a UW uniform for all of two seasons before transferring following Ron Dayne's incredible freshman season in 1996. He is one of just three players to return a touchdown for 100 yards at Wisconsin and also returned a punt for a TD in his time at the UW. Went on to have a heck of an NFL career as a returner and running back, playing on the 2003 Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay team and retiring in 2010.
