Six weeks from today we'll all be pulling out the grills, doning our best Badger gear and celebrating the start of the Gary Andersen era at Wisconsin and that means we are just 42 days, or as we like to say here at MTB…. just Alex Walker to Badger football!!

Walker is a redshirt freshman tight end from Glendale, Wi and is majoring in geological engineering. He's also an Eagle Scout. Walker's grandfather, Robert Remstad lettered in basketball at the UW in 1951.He may see time this year on special teams, but with the depth at tight end in front of him it's hard to see him hitting the field in signifigant ways in his redshirt freshman season.

History of No. 42 at Wisconsin:

Tarek Saleh (DE, 1993-96): He was a two time All-Big Ten selection and an All-American in 1996. Saleh holds the career record for tackles for loss with 58 and for yardage on tackles for loss as well. He was the team captain of the 1996 team and named the MVP of the Copper Bowl that season. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers and spent four years in the NFL.
