Wisconsin has been active on the recruiting trail this week with the bye and all, and according to our recruiting partners over at Badger247, the Badgers not only managed to flip a recruit, they also managed to add another in-state commitment for the class of 2014.

According to the report, Wisconsin added Tight End/Offensive Lineman Beau Benzschawel after offering the Grafton, WI native earlier in the day. Benzschawel had given his verbal commitment to Syracuse just a few weeks ago, but the offer to say home appeared too much to pass up.

He had offers from the likes of Iowa State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Wyoming and host of other "mid-major" football programs.

247sports has Benzschawel as a 2-star recruit and the 153rd ranked offensive tackle in the country, but at 6-6 and 240 pounds, he clearly has the frame and ability to likely play at tight end as well.

The class is now up to 17 verbal commitments and Benzschawel is the 7th verbal commitment out of the state of Wisconsin.

We all know how Andersen and his staff love athletic ability and versatility, and that's what Benzschawel possesses.
