In a less than surprising move, guard George Marshall announced that he will be transferring from Wisconsin at the end of the fall semester. This will make him eligible to play basketball at another school starting with the spring 2015 semester.
The redshirt sophomore guard saw his minutes drop at the beginning of the season due to a crowded back court. After suffering a concussion, freshman Bronson Koenig stepped in and was showed that he is a legitimate threat at point. Add in a healthy Josh Gasser and there just wasn't room for Marshall.
According to the Big Ten Network, coach Bo Ryan is on board with the move and the team will work with him on finding another good fit.
