A couple good wins in a week and you’ll move up the rankings. That’s just what the Badgers did this week as they now check in at 16 in the AP Top 25 and 18 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Wisconsin was ranked 21st in both polls last week.

Wisconsin is joined by the same four Big Ten teams in each poll. Those teams are Michigan State (13 AP, 14 Coaches), Iowa (15, 15), Michigan (20, 20), and Ohio State (24, 23). The only other Big Ten team receiving even one vote this week is Nebraska with one vote in the Coaches Poll. It has to have been quite a long time since Nebraska had a vote in either poll.

Also, while this isn’t 100% perfect, Wisconsin shows up at #6 in Joe Lunardi’s RPI rankings. The RPI rankings are given a lot of value when seeding teams in the tournament. All the big wins the Badgers have racked up certainly help in the RPI.
