Welcome to the newest offer…and the newest committed Wisconsin Badger. His name is David Pfaff and according to Badger247 he committed late Tuesday night after receiving an official scholarship offer from the Badgers.

Pfaff, a Mequon Homestead defensive end, committed to UW over offers from Iowa State, Northern Illinois and Syracuse and others. He currently is not rated by 247Sports, but was rated as a 2-star prospect by Rivals.com and a 3-star prospect by Scout.com.

The 6’2″, 253-pound end was predicted to commit to Iowa State just a few months ago, but Wisconsin pulled the trigger on an offer and Pfaff couldn’t pass it up.

“Today I was offered a full ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and committed,” he said, via Evan Flood of Badger247. “I cant explain my emotions right now.”

Here is a look at Pfaff’s film from this past season:

One look at that film and one can see a player defensive coordinator Dave Aranda would love to plug in the role that Chikwe Obasih and Alec James are playing at UW. His speed will be key to getting him on the field, but this could be a developmental scholarship offer and he isn’t likely to see the field early on at Wisconsin.

Keep an eye out for his development though, as the raw skills are there for him to be productive later in his career.
