We hope you all enjoyed Memorial Day weekend and did some serious remembering of those who perished defending our country, both here and abroad. However, just like you are back to the daily grind, we are back to counting down the days to the 2014 Badger football season kickoff.
Today it is 97 days to go, and that means it is all about Arthur Goldberg.
Goldberg’s Story So Far:
– 2013 was his redshirt freshman season, but he did not record any statistics last year.
– He is majoring in human ecology with a focus in community and non-profit leadership
What to Expect in 2014:
Goldberg didn’t get much of a chance in 2013, but that could’ve been expected given his status on the totem poll and the fact that Beau Allen, Warren Herring and Bryce Gilbert were all ahead of him on the depth chart. In 2014, Goldberg could begin to see minutes in the defensive line rotation now that Allen is off to the NFL. Expect to see his name appear a few times or more on the stat sheet this season, especially after the transition to nose tackle a season ago. He will likely compete with incoming freshman Jeremy Patterson for the last spot on the nose guard depth chart.
