The Wisconsin Badgers football team extended an early offer to 2017 defensive tackle prospect Juan Harris this month, and the school immediately jumped to the front of the list. However, its prospects of adding one of the best prospects in the 2017 class could have just gotten better.
247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong is reporting that Harris has transferred from Niles (Ill.) Notre Dame Prep to Janesville Parker high school. Yes, that Janesville — Janesville, Wisconsin.
At 6’4″, 356 pounds, Harris stands out among the crowd early on in his class and is expected to be one of the best players when the rankings for this class are announced in the future. He may be massive in size, but Harris is also a great athlete as well.
According to the 247Sports report, Harris has been clocked at a 5.2 40-yard dash already.
Wisconsin isn’t Harris’ only offer though, as he’s already picked up offers from Virginia and Utah. Harris is also receiving early interest from the heavy hitters like Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas to date.
If the move to Janesville Parker says anything more than Harris saying the Badgers jumped out to an early lead, then the Badgers really are in prime position to land a big-time recruit in the 2017 class.
