MADISON, Wis. — The Big Ten Network released its coverage plans for the 2014 men’s and women’s soccer seasons on Tuesday, which includes three Wisconsin matches, highlighted by the UW men’s soccer team hosting new conference member Rutgers for its first-ever Big Ten match in September.
The Badger men will appear twice on live BTN broadcasts, hosting Rutgers on Sept. 12 and then traveling to face Penn State on Oct. 26. UW welcomes the Scarlet Knights to Madison for what will be their first match as new league members, with kickoff set to take place under the lights of the McClimon Soccer Complex at 7 p.m. CT.
UW women’s soccer will also appear on BTN this season. The Badgers travel to face Michigan State on Sept. 12, as the match is set to be broadcast live for its 2:30 p.m. start.
The 2014 season officially begins for UW women’s soccer on Friday, Aug. 22, as the Badgers welcome Oregon to the McClimon Soccer Complex for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
With two exhibition matches remaining on its preseason slate, the UW men’s soccer team kicks off its regular season Aug. 29 hosting the University of San Francisco.
