Up next on the docket is our first game against a Western US team. It’s also the last game in Madison before heading to the Battle 4 Atlantis.
Boise State visits the Kohl Center on November 22 with a 9 p.m. tip-off.
School: Boise State Broncos
Location: Boise, Idaho
Conference: Mountain West
Undergrad Enrollment: 18,982
2013-14 record: (21-13, 9-9 Mountain West)
Top returning players: Anthony Drmic (15.9 pts, 4.5 rebounds); Derrick Marks (14.9 pts, 2.6 assists); Mikey Thompson (8.6 pts, 2.5 assists)
Who’d win in a mascot fight?:I feel like this turned out much better for Bucky last year, but, wow, is he getting pummeled this year. A bronco beats a badger.
One interesting major: Ceramics
One fact to help you win your local trivia night: Boise State set the trend as the first football team with a turf colored something other than green. Now it’s showing up all over the place.
Prediction: Boise State is predicted to be near the top of the always tough (at least during the regular season) Mountain West. With Drmic predicted as the conference player of the year, I see this game looking like the Green Bay game minus the in-state rivalry. The lack of rivalry is enough for the Badgers to win this one by ten and head to the Bahamas undefeated.
