It’s early season tournament time in college basketball which is a lot of fun for fans, but makes my job predicting the games more difficult. Because there are so many scenarios that could play out this week, I’m only predicting match-ups that are certain to happen (minus one game today since it had started when I began writing).

Honestly, the tournament of the week is the Battle 4 Atlantis, but we will be hitting that enough this week. Instead, let’s go with the Orlando Classic where Michigan State will be representing the B1G. Also in the tournament are Kansas, cross-state rival Marquette, and a pesky Rhode Island team that knocked off Nebraska. This tournament begins on Thanksgiving and runs through Sunday. You may remember Wisconsin losing to Notre Dame a few years back in this tournament.
I see Michigan State knocking off Rider in the first round, Georgia Tech in the semifinals, and then losing to Kansas in the championship. Kansas will have to get through Rhode Island and more than likely Tennessee to get to the championship.
