Big Ten Weekly Preview: December 22-28

Well last week wasn’t my finest week. I’ll definitely blame it on the fact that the B1G doesn’t seem like the deep basketball conference we’ve gotten to know in the past. There were some bad losses and some tough losses last week.

The sad thing is, it’s starting to get too late in the year for big non-conference wins. The perception of the conference is going to be set soon, and conference wins for the bubble teams won’t mean as much as they did last year. It’s a good thing Maryland joined the conference this year or it’d be even worse…

Game-of-the-Week

Indiana at Georgetown

It’s a bad week, and this is the best game I could find. Indiana, and the Big Ten as a whole, needs a good road win. Wisconsin can get that tonight, and if we weren’t already going to be talking about  that game, it’d be the game-of-the-week.

Indiana has been a weird team this year as it has notched a good win against Southern Methodist but had a terrible loss to Eastern Washington. The Hoosiers have the fringe wins to show they are a legitimate threat, but they need a big one to show they are for real.
