Report: Badgers basketball agrees to home-and-home with Temple

Next season won’t be easy, with the Badgers having to replace All-American candidate Frank Kaminsky, along with 1,000-point scorer Josh Gasser and leader Traevon Jackson. However, it won’t stop Bo Ryan from challenging his team.

Part of that challenge will be participating in the 2K Classic, but according to a report by CBS Sports Wisconsin will also take on Temple at home.

Temple and Wisconsin are both expected to be upper-echelon teams in their respective conferences next season. Additionally, both are still alive in postseason play. Wisconsin will take on North Carolina in the Sweet 16, while Temple is in the quarterfinals of the NIT.

These two teams have a decent history against each other too, with nine meetings happening between the two already. Wisconsin leads the series 6-3 and actually are better in Philadelphia than at home in the series, standing at 4-1 on the road and 2-2 at home.

It won’t be the first time that Bo Ryan’s Badgers take on Temple either, as UW has faced the Owls twice during his 14-year tenure to date. Wisconsin lost 70-67 at home in a double overtime thriller in Ryan’s first season at the helm of the program and returned the favor two years later in a 80-67 victory in Philadelphia
