Trio of Badgers Wrestlers Earn Rankings Heading in to the Season

With the unveiling of the FloWrestling individual rankings complete, the Wisconsin wrestling team finds itself with a trio of wrestlers earning recognition.

Ryan Taylor (133 pounds) and Isaac Jordan (165) are each ranked third in their respective weight classes, while Ricky Robertson is ranked No. 10 at 174 pounds.

Taylor was an All-American at 133 a season ago, taking seventh at the NCAA Championships and finishing the year with a 27-4 record. He placed second at the Big Ten Championships, falling to

Chris Dardanes of Minnesota in the title match.

Now a redshirt junior, Taylor began last season unranked, but rose to as high as No. 3 throughout the course of the year.

Jordan was a Big Ten champion at 165 last season and attained All-American status by virtue of his seventh-place finish at the NCAAs. He finished the 2014-15 campaign with a record of 26-4.

The redshirt junior was an All-American at 157 pounds in 2014.

Robertson was an NCAA qualifier at 184 pounds a season ago. He posted a record of 27-10 on the season, including a 2-2 mark at the NCAA Championships as well as the Big Ten Championships, where he placed fifth.

Team rankings and pound-for-pound rankings are due out in the coming days.
