There were lots of hilarious things that went on last night with the Golden State Warriors hosting the Utah Jazz, but nothing more hilarious than Leandro Barbosa‘s postgame interview with sideline reporter, Rosalyn Gold-Onwude.

Barbosa, who had 19 points on 8-for-10 shooting in the Warriors’ 106-91 win over the Jazz, has stepped up in Klay Thompson‘s absence and earned the postgame interview for both nights of the back-to-back.

In case you missed it, LetsGoWarriors was able to catch The Brazillian Blur’s now infamous statement, and Gold-Onwude herself even took the time to chime in on the matter via Twitter:

“Nuff said,” Gold-Onwude tweeted. “Barbosa told me postgame Warriors will be champs. #WeGonnaBeChampionship”

Putting it into context, Gold-Onwude asked questions pertaining to how Barbosa and the team as a whole had improved since the beginning of the season.

Barbosa, who had been challenged by Warriors assistant and defensive guru Ron Adams to improve defensively, told Gold-Onwude the team’s defense had become the cornerstone from which they’ve improved in all facets of the game.

“I think we know that in every game, the main thing is the defensive standpoint,” Barbosa said. “If we do a good job on the defense, the offense will come through.

Barbosa is a testament to that, utilizing his quickness to shoot out on the break after steals and defensive rebounds for fastbreak layups.

Steve Kerr talked postgame about how Barbosa has really stepped up on both ends of the floor.

“LB (Leandro Barbosa) has been great,” Kerr said. “Season-high in scoring, I know, but what we’ve been most impressed with is his defense. He’s gotten dramatically better on the defensive end this year, both on and off the ball.”

“Just a terrific player and a great teammate.”

Warriors now look to ready themselves before hosting the Washington Wizards on Monday.
