Game Recap 5/3/11: I Don’t Want to Talk About It, Leave Me Alone – Red Sox 7, Angels 3

What do you know?  The Angels lost to Boston again.  I am so frustrated right now, I really don’t even want to talk about it.

Red Sox 7, Angels 3

OK, so, I’ll just say this and then you can all leave me alone.  Consider this: Jered Weaver an Dan Haren have lost three games this year, all to the Red Sox.  THe Halos have lost 14 games this season, six of which were to Boston.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to make a late run to Costco so that I can buy an economy pack of ice picks and shove them all in my eyes.

Game Notes:

  • Trumbo continues to perplex.  He starts off by ripping a home completely over the Green Monster and then proceeds to strikeout twice but finishes it off with a nice sacrifice fly.  He is a mystery wrapped in a riddle wrapped in an enigma.
  • I’m just going to put this out there, but Takahashi has minor league options available.  He’s been just awful this year and Jepsen and Kohn were demoted for far less egregious offenses.  He probably makes too much money for the Halos to actually demote him though.
  • Go figure that Vernon Wells was the only Angels that wasn’t credited with an LOB in this game.

Halo A-Hole

Hisanori Takahashi

Thanks for making sure the Halos couldn’t mount a comeback.  Next time leave your gas can in the bullpen.
