Baseball at this time of the year is an exhausting experience. Outside of the emotional investment that comes with rooting on your favorite team as the cling to their playoff lives like so much cooked spaghetti, there's the added outpouring of emotion into games that can affect the playoff situaiton. Never have I cared more for teams to evicerate the Orioles and Athletics than I have the past three weeks. And yet, here we are, still two games behind as the games dwindle by each day. Regardless of the what the Angels do, the fan in all of us can only sit in quiet desperation, hoping the Mariners come through with that key hit…sad, I know.
Game Notes
— Jered Weaver did what Jered Weaver does. Win. He notched his 20th win of the season and at least solified his third place finish in the Cy Young race. How Jered wins is a complete mystery, just ask Ranger hitters.
— Nice bounce back night for Mark Trumbo. a 3-4 night with two big doubles to drive in runs. It certainly doesn't excuse the two month siesta his bat has taken, but a little help goes a long way.This is especially significant since Kendrys Morales left the game with sore ribs and it would appear Trumbo's bat will be needed more than ever.
— Hey Miguel Cabrera Fans. Yeah I see you over there with your Triple Crown talk. Well, Mike Trout has something to say. That MVP trophy still is up for grabs and young Mikey will have his say before it's all over. Mark My Words!!

Wait the Angels won. Where's my fired up Jered Weaver pic or my serious face Mark Trumbo. Sorry, this time of year a Mariners win would have been better than any indivuduall performance. So Seattle, you suck. Is it really too much to ask to step it up just a bit for the next two games? Then you can feel free to coast for the final series. Okay?
