Halo Headlines: Hamilton says Texas never offered him a contract, Kazmir making a comeback

The December 24th, 2012 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim including Hamilton says Texas never offered him a contract, Kazmir making a comeback and much more…

The Story: Josh Hamilton says the Rangers never made him a contract offer.

The Monkey Says: He also says he never promised Texas a chance to match, which flies in the face of reports out of Arlington.  In the same interview, Hamilton also blamed his prolonged slump last season exclusively on his trying to quit chewing tobacco.

The Story: Scott Kazmir is making a comeback with the Cleveland Indians.

The Monkey Says: No jokes this time around, I really hope Kazmir turns it around.  It as a real shame to see a guy with that kind of talent flame out so quickly at such a young age… and take so much of the Angels' money with him.  Dang, almost made it all the way through.

The Story: A little bit of Mike Trout video to make your holidays merry.

The Monkey Says: The gift that keeps on giving… unless the Angels don't lock him into an extension before he hits free agency.

The Story: ESPN SweetSpot's power ranking have the Angels at #12.

The Monkey Says: I'd disagree more vehemently, but power rankings are pretty meaningless and pointless.  On a completely unrelated note, the Angels Player Power Rankings will be making a come back this January, stay tuned!

The Story: Festivus grievances for all 30 MLB teams.

The Monkey Says: Really?  The Angels' grievance doesn't have anything to do with Vernon Wells?  Blogger, please.

The Story: The Angels should consider signing Grady Sizemore.

The Monkey Says: Sure, now that they jettisoned the one player on the team who missed almost two years with an injury, why not sign another guy who hasn't played in nearly two years?

The Story: 'Twas the night before Christmas, Angels edition.

The Monkey Says: Have a happy holidays, everyone.
