Halo Headlines: Hamilton dealing with a bad shoulder, C.J. Wilson's embarrassing fall

The August 29th, 2013 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Hamilton dealing with a bad shoulder, C.J. Wilson's embarrassing fall and much more…

The Story: Josh Hamilton is dealing with a sore shoulder again and will spend some time at DH.

The Monkey Says: This has been an issue all year, but both he and the team insist it isn't affecting his hitting. That's great news in that it isn't serious. That's bad news in that it means he sucks for a completely different reason.

The Story: C.J. Wilson's embarrassing trip and fall at the Trop, in GIF form.

The Monkey Says: I have never changed my Twitter avatar but am strongly considering making the change to this GIF because it is such a perfect metaphor for the Angel season.

The Story: A look at the wisdom of firing a manager like Mike Scioscia when the fault might simply be bad players.

The Monkey Says: The problem is it is impossible to determine if they are bad because they just are or because of something the manager is doing, like not preaching the right fundamentals or using the player in a way they are not suited for.

The Story: The journey of Dane De La Rosa.

The Monkey Says: A good story for one of the few good (or at least not terrible) relievers in the Angel bullpen.

The Story: The Angels offer the cheapest beer per ounce in the majors.

The Monkey Says: That makes drinking away your sorrows much more cost effective. I do have a legitimate question though: is the beer at the Big A any good? I haven't been in a few years, so I don't recall if it is just Coors and Bud Light. Do they have microbrews and craft beers? All I know is that when I go to Safeco I don't think I could find a Coors Light if I tried (and I wouldn't try).
