Halo Headlines: Halos trying to figure out April woes, the Angel-killer All-Stars

The October 23rd, 2013 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Halos trying to figure out April woes, the Angel-killer All-Stars and much more…

The Story: The Angels are trying to figure out why they have been starting the season so poorly the last several years.

The Monkey Says: Might I suggest trying human sacrifice if the new spring training regimen doesn't work? That way there would at least be a role for Joe Blanton. ZING!

The Story: The 2013 Angel Killer All-Star Team.

The Monkey Says: How is this team not composed entirely of Rangers and Astros?

The Story: Former longtime Angel scout Jeff Schugel has been hired by the Braves.

The Monkey Says: Because the Braves apparently felt they needed help if they wanted to rip off the Angels in yet another trade.

The Story: Speculating on Mike Scioscia being traded to fill one of the managerial vacancies.

The Monkey Says: I think the ship has sailed on that possibility, though I could see the Tigers making a run at him. I'm also kind of surprised that the Nationals never kicked the tires (as far as we know).

The Story: Jerry Dipoto's top priority should be adding a new team captain to the roster.

The Monkey Says: I don't typically believe in the leadership and chemistry angle, but I am willing to try anything at this point. And I mean ANYTHING. I'd still say that adding two non-crappy starting pitchers is a slightly higher Mikepriority than adding a clubhouse leader.
